The groundbreaking Woodward at Copper is the first year-round ski and snowboard facility of its kind. Within the 19,000 square feet, there are jumps, pipes, and jibs, including a 35-foot drop-in and a 10-foot quarter pipe to practice terrain park skills.
The facility is designed with instruction in mind, which explains the extensive programs for kids and adults throughout the year. Pros come in to share expert techniques during the camps, and instructors are always on hand to make sure the participants are safe.
The Barn is the main ski and snowboard area, with 6,200 square feet covered with Snowflex, the indoor surface used to simulate snow. There are multiple jumps that land in foam-filled pits to practice proper technique.
In the Gym Cross Training Area, there are six Olympic trampolines, a large spring floor, tumble tracks into foam, a trampoline harness system and more.
Included in the Barn area is the skatepark, open to skateboarders, inline skaters and BMX bikers. There are ramps, a street course, a large bowl and a jump to a foam landing.
In addition to the specific classes provided year-round, summer camps are offered for a variety of activities, including snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding and cheering.
The Cage is the retail store, covering the full gamut of freestyle products as well as equipment service. There is a video-editing booth, fooseball, video games and other ways to pass time while gathering your energy to head out to the Barn again.
