For thirty years, runners have enjoyed the wonderful scenery that can be viewed while running the Run the Rockies course in beautiful Summit County.  Avid runners and one times runners can expect downhill courses, marathons and winding trails.

Saturday, June 8th – Sunday, June 9th, 2013

The Town of Frisco will host the 37th annual  SalomonRun the Rockies weekend.   Run the Rockies will offer both road and trail run options to participants.  Run the Rockies will provide racers with challenging race courses and breathtaking scenery.

  • The races startStart across from Copper Mountain and Finish in Downtown Frisco. 
  • Bus transportation is available to the beginning of the race. 
  • A mid June running event

Overview: The courses are fast because much of each course is downhill. The Half Marathon is 75% downhill and the Ten Mile Creek 10K is 100% downhill. Starting at Copper Mountain and winding their way downhill, there is much to see along the way. Whether you are an avid runner or just a once in awhile participant, you'll enjoy the Run the Rockies event in Summit County Colorado.
