Breckenridge is known these days for its ever so popular four mountain ski resort. The town was founded in 1859 and is in fact the oldest, most historical, and therefore largest in the county. Summers in Breckenridge are wonderful as well with endless trails for hiking, over 100 miles of paved bike trail, and a public golf course. The real estate market continues to grow in Breckenridge and condos, town homes, and houses can sell from $225,000 to $4 million.

Many would agree that Keystone is located in the most ideal place, between rough mountains and the Snake River. Winter months lure skiers and snowboarders to its three mountain resort and summer months lure fishing, biking, hiking, and river enthusiasts. Condos and homes continue to be built in and around the Keystone Resort and the resort itself looks forward to many improvements. Copper Mountain is another great place to look for real estate opportunities as it is located just under the largest and ever improving ski area in the county. Frisco, Dillon and Silverthorne are located within close proximity to the ski areas of Summit County and have great access to summer activities. Although smaller towns than the others, these are great areas to look if you want to be outside of the hustle and bustle of tourist central. Houses and condos sell from $75,000 to $1.2 million in these areas.
