About Breckenridge
The lure of gold, silver, and quick riches brought the first settlers
to this high mountain valley. The town was founded in 1859, along the
banks of the Blue River and is the oldest continually inhabited
community in the Colorado mountains.
Today Breckenridge is more than a quaint historic mining town. It's a
year-round destination resort with enough summer and winter activities
to please everyone.
