Come to Summit County, Colorado if you want to enjoy the wonderful sport of fishing. In this area you can enjoy all kinds of fishing including fly-fishing, ice fishing, and lake fishing.

In Summit County you can fish the day away, as there will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the beautiful sounds of the rivers and creeks as they flow by. In Summit County there are two reservoirs - Lake Dillon and Green Mountain Reservoir. They feed the streams, rivers, and creeks in the region.

There are tons of trout in these waterways, which means you will never have to worry about running out of fish catch. In fact, there's so much to do in Summit County you'll be sure to bring home tons of memories that will last a lifetime.

Here are some of the rules for fishing in Blue River:

You must use artificial flies and lures. There is a minimum size limit for trout, which is 16" from Breckenridge to Lake Dillon. This also applies outside the Silverthrone city limits to Green Mountain. All fish caught have to be returned inside the Silverthorne city limits. You are permitted to catch kokanee salmon between Sep. 1 and Dec. 31 from Green Mountain upstream to the 1st Hwy. 9 bridge.
