The Grind at Arapahoe Basin
The Grind at Arapahoe Basin is a fairly new event, but it is fast becoming one of the most anticipated and fun events to celebrate the end of the ski season. While some of the end of the season celebrations involved mountain bike riding that is not the case in the Grind at Arapahoe Basin. The Grind involved climbing from Arapahoe Basin's A-Frame base lodge to the summit height of 13,050 feet which is the height at the East Wall. The competitors then ski back down the North Pole slope, through the resort area and back to the A-Frame. It is a grueling race, but tons of fun.
