Boreas Pass Railroad Day
Come and spend part of the beautiful fall days in the mountains of Colorado. One of the fun events to plan on attending is the Boreas Pass Railroad Day. This is a fun-filled family adventure which is also educational. The event begins at either Como Roundhouse or Breckenridge. Special events are always planned to take place at the Como Roundhouse, Rocky Point, the Boreas Pass Section House and at the Rotary Snow Plow Park which is just outside of Breckenridge. There is lots of fun which includes testing your strength on a railroad handcar. Come and explore the Boreas Pass post office which was the highest railroad post office in Colorado from 1896-1905. Come to Colorado and enjoy a little piece of history. This event is the third Saturday every August.
