It is also only 1 ½ hours from Denver making it easy to escape to the big city if need be.

Copper Mountain's base sits at about 8,000 feet and receives an average of 160 inches on the valley floor a year. A majority of the residents are between the ages of 25 and 54 with 25% of them between 35 and 44, and the median family income is $60,000.
