The county itself is a great place to call home. It sits in the heart of the Rockies, right over the Continental Divide. Although only home to 19,000 residents, the county encompasses four major ski resorts and the six towns of Breckenridge, Dillon, Frisco, Silverthorne, Keystone, and Copper Mountain. The towns and ski areas are all highly accessible within the county, especially with the help of the Summit Stage, a free transportation system making daily and frequent stops. It is also only 1 ½ hours from Denver making it easy to escape to the big city if need be.
Here are a few facts about the area if you are planning on relocating. The county provides services like snowplowing, vehicle registration, transportation, public nursing, and social organizations. Copper Mountain's base sits at about 8,000 feet and receives an average of 160 inches on the valley floor a year. A majority of the residents are between the ages of 25 and 54 with 25% of them between 35 and 44, and the median family income is $60,000.
There are many real estate agents and brokers in the area that would be more than willing to assist you with finding the right home or property for you. Check out realty options with one of the many realtors whether you are serious about buying or just looking. The MLS shows that condos have been selling for $200-650,000, while town homes are selling for $500-900,000 and homes for $850-1.5 million. Find something for sale that is right for you.
