Country Boy Mine
At a elevation of 9,930 feet and located in the midst of the spectacular Rocky Mountains, the Country Boy Mine was first established in 1887. The Country Boy Mine was one of the largest and most famous gold mines in the Breckenridge, Colorado area. You can go on a tour that will take you 1,000 feet underground and view real miners working with operating real mining equipment.
The Country Boy Mine is open year round and is located only two miles from downtown Breckenridge, Colorado. Tours take place every hour on the hour and last approximately forty-five minutes. There are other activities and additional attractions in the area which include live burros which roam the site, an outside walking park and a fantastic rock shop.
